Morris Brothers

Robert and Steven Morris are graduates of Fordham University and Magna Cum Laude graduates of Berklee College of Music with a major in songwriting. They have contributed music, lyrics and orchestrations for the musicals, Everyone Comes To Elaine’s, The Duck Commander Musical (Las Vegas), White Noise (Chicago, New Orleans), Once Around The Sun (Off Broadway), Rock Star (Off Off Broadway), and What You Will (Philadelphia). Recording artist releases (Morris Brothers) include Stand Out, Pop The Trunk, One Less Dream and numerous singles. They have written for, and with, major label and independent artists, and their songs have been featured on network and cable television.  As musicians (guitar, bass, keyboards and vocals) they have recorded and performed everywhere and beyond, at hundreds of private events and with numerous artists some of whom are; Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Stevie Wonder, Sting, Darius Rucker, Natalie Cole, Robin Thicke, Kristen Chenoweth, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Allan Toussaint, Arturo Sandovar, and in the orchestras of numerous Broadway shows (Beetlejuice, Moulin Rouge,Hamilton, Bob Fosse’s Dancin’, School of Rock, Kinky Boots, Waitress, A Bronx Tale, Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, Hairspray, Hot Feet, Baby It's You, The Wedding Singer, Godspell, Jesus Christ Superstar, Good Vibrations, It Should Have Been You).  In 2011, they were nominated for Chicago's prestigious Jeff Award in the category ofOutstanding New Work-Musical or Revue for the Royal George Theater production of White Noise (Whoopi GoldbergExecutive Producer). Recent projects include writing and producing all the music for The Chris Cuomo Project (Podcast), Let’s Get After It With Chris Cuomo (Sirius XM) and co-writing and producing the them for Eating Out With Eric & Steve (Podcast with Eric McCormick and Steven Weber). For a time, they could be seen as the Mad Cloning Scientists on The Late Show With David Letterman. They are WME clients and members of Local 802 American Federation of Musicians, and SESAC. They reside with their respective families in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
